Within this time period women were beginning to get more universally known as artists and it was acceptable for women to pursue careers without suffering extreme disadvantages from the public. Rather than women sticking to textile art's such as sewing or anything of that sort they were able to branch out and pursue more physical versions of art, such as sculpture, painting and drawing. Women were beginning to get more freedoms and more acceptance into society as equals to men, art was just one way that it became more diverse in gender. During World War 1 art did not change very much, aside from the propaganda posters that were made, the art style during this era focused mostly on people and realism.
Art was an escape for some people and they could ignore the tragedy's that were occuring in the war.

During this Era immigration decreased drastically , the numbers have only gone down since the last time period and within that time the art within the U.S. did not change aside from the slight color and some variation in style. Without the outside influence from foreign immigrants that would change our art styles and art subjects and mediums we didn't have an influx of new ideas. Our art mostly remained the same within this time period without the foreign influence we had been experiencing for so many years.
